Priority areas
The cancer research strategy for Victoria will consider all aspects of cancer research across the care continuum; from prevention, early detection and diagnosis through to supportive care and palliation.
The strategy will focus on promoting the translation of all types of cancer research into improved clinical practice, with the aim of improving patient care and outcomes. It will also address enablers of translational cancer research, such as:
- Collaborative, interdisciplinary research across all sectors
- Infrastructure and platforms
- Clinical trials: and
- Appropriate workforce capacity and capability.
