Workshop #2: Tuesday 27 May 2008
This workshop was held at the Cancer Council Victoria, 100 Drummond Street, Carlton from 7.00 to 9.00pm. It covered:
- How to write an irresistible résumé for research
- Writing a fellowship application
Workshop #3: Thursday 10 July 2008
This final workshop in the series was held at the Westin Melbourne hotel, and was on the topic of 'Career Pathways – Decisions and Challenges'.
The evening also included the announcement of successful recipients of the Early Career Bench & Bedside Collaboration Grants and Awards.
The workshops were not only aimed at providing useful information about these topics, we hope that they also provide a forum for networking with colleagues. The workshops were led by successful researchers and clinician-researchers familiar with the challenges faced by young investigators today.
Workshops are open to early career:
- laboratory researchers
- clinician-researchers
- psychosocial researchers
- involved in cancer research in Victoria, who:
- hold a PhD or equivalent research doctorate/qualification, awarded within the last five years, or
- are currently completing their PhD/MD.
These workshops were provided at no cost to the participants. If you are interested in attending any future workshops, please contact us.
