Cancer patient care, outcomes and survival in Victoria will be amongst the best in the world - through the rapid translation of cancer research into clinical care

The Victorian Cancer Agency has been established to sustain and enhance Victoria’s excellent track record in cancer research. With funding support from the Victorian Government, we invest in projects and initiatives that rapidly translate research into treatments and approaches that will improve clinical practice and care of cancer patients.

Through our funding opportunities in cancer research, the development of a cancer research strategy for Victoria and ongoing engagement with everyone from researchers through to cancer patients, our goal is to make Victoria a leader in cancer research, care and outcomes by 2020. 

What's new?

The Victorian Cancer Agency will be offering the following funding opportunities in 2010 and 2011:  

  • Research Fellowships - three categories
  • Supportive & Palliative Care Scholarship
  • Early Career Seed Grants
  • Consumer Grants
  • Supportive and Palliative Care Capacity Building Grants

Applications for funding opportunities in 2010 will be called for in March (date to be advised). Please read the relevant guidelines for advice on how to apply for each funding stream.

Please check back regularly for updates regarding the date in March this funding round will open.
